About Mark
Growing up, I experienced first-hand the integration of family and the law. During my younger years, my grandfather was a victim of medical malpractice. Each day my mother returned home from trial, recalling that day’s unexpected difficulties. At the end of it all, my parents stressed a consistent message: how tremendously the attorneys treated my family and the immense positive and lasting impact they had on us. Whenever my parents talk about those times, I am reminded of why I wanted to be an attorney, and it inspires me to provide the same impact for the families I encounter going through similar uncertainty.
As early as I can remember, my parents preached hard work, patience, and perseverance – between academics, baseball, or summer jobs. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a family who continues to instill these values, as they serve as my compass in guiding others. Whether I went hitless in a doubleheader or hit for the cycle, I could count on my family to greet me after the game. This fueled my passion to pursue baseball at the next level and play at Wheaton College (MA), where, through those same values, we earned two championships and played in the College World Series. These experiences afforded me a unique outlook on dealing with adversity in high-pressure situations, all while having the unwavering support of a great team.
I originate from Easton, Connecticut, as a middle child of three boys, always surrounded by great food and sports. In my free time, you can find me on a golf course, talking about the New York Mets, or staying active outdoors.
Mark, The Professional
My academic interests have always centered around problem-solving. I double majored in Economics and Business Management at Wheaton College (MA), which gave me a strong foundation in analytical thinking and a practical approach to resolving complex issues. From there, I went to Quinnipiac University School of Law, where I concentrated in both Family Law and Tax Law.
I have been with Broder Orland Murray & DeMattie LLC since 2023, working as a Law Clerk throughout law school, and presently as an Associate. In law school, I served as the President of the Society for Dispute Resolution, leading my peers as we actively competed in American Bar Association-sponsored negotiation, mediation, and arbitration competitions against other law schools. I also completed the Advanced Family Law Trial Advocacy Program, which gave me valuable courtroom experience and allowed me to sharpen my advocacy skills in the presence of a Superior Court Judge.
Additionally, I gained hands-on experience representing clients through both the Civil Justice Clinic and the Tax Clinic. Lastly, I was the Supervising Editor for Volume 37 of the Quinnipiac Law Probate Journal, completing the publication process of my Note “A Billionaire’s Dilemma: The Use of Self-Settled Asset Protection Trusts to Evade Economic Sanctions in Wartime.”
Since joining the firm, I have been dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation and service to my clients. I believe in treating each case with the utmost care and attention, providing excellent and timely service to my clients.
