About Ashley

I never had an epiphany or “ah ha” moment when I decided I wanted to be a lawyer. For me, it always seemed like a natural progression. As far back as I can remember, I was predisposed to negotiate every perceived injustice. I guess you can only hear, “You’d make a great lawyer one day” so many times before it starts to sink in.

While my skill set and work ethic made law the obvious choice early on, the specialty of Family Law was a later piece of the puzzle. In law school, I indulged my vast interests – dabbling in everything including sports law, negotiating contracts for an international corporation, and drafting opinions for a Federal judge. It wasn’t until about halfway through the curriculum that I shifted my focus to Family Law. Being outgoing by nature, I was drawn to the idea of utilizing my skills to help people navigate some of the most trying and turbulent times of their lives.

Prior to joining the firm, I practiced at a boutique family law firm in Greenwich, Connecticut, representing high-net-worth individuals across a wide range of industries and professions. I gained invaluable experience litigating complex and high stakes cases involving issues such as child custody, business and property valuation, forensic financial valuations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, trusts, hidden assets, dissipation of marital assets, and post-judgment enforcement and modification.

One of the most common questions that I’m asked is whether practicing in this field has given me a negative outlook. The answer is no. Personally, my brother and I were fortunate to have been raised by two loving parents with a close extended family. Professionally, for as much animosity as I’ve witnessed, I also have the privilege of seeing clients come out on the other side. The end result is the reason that I remain so dedicated to this practice.

Ashley, The Professional

Since being admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2013, I have devoted my professional efforts almost exclusively to Family and Matrimonial Law. I have worked on countless complicated, high-net worth cases.

I was recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyers ® Rising Star in Family Law from 2020 – 2022. Each year, no more than 2.5% are named to the Rising Stars List. Superlawyers are recognized by their peers for their outstanding work and commitment to the spirit of the legal profession.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2013. While in law
school, I was a member and coach of Moot Court Society. I represented my school in the 2012
National Appellate Advocacy Competition. I was also elected and served as Vice President for
Quinnipiac’s Veteran’s Advocacy Group.

During law school, I also interned for United States District Judge Dominic Squatrito where I assisted the court in drafting opinions. I went on to gain corporate experience as an extern for Henkel Corporation where I assisted in drafting and reviewing contracts.

I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut in 2010, earning my B.A. in Political Science with minors in Sociology & Foreign Studies.

I currently reside in Stamford. My passions outside of the office include travel, hot yoga, stand-up comedy, and live music. I’m also a die-hard Mets fan which I analogize to being divorced 10 times and still believing in true love.
