Fairfield lawyer elected president of bar association Fairfield Citizen, October 3, 2012

Eric J. Broder, a lawyer from Fairfield, has been elected president of the Fairfield County Bar Association. Broder, having practiced law for 17 years, is a founding member of Westport law firm Broder Orland Murray & DeMattie LLC .

Broder is an AV Preeminent lawyer as rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standard, according to an association news release. He practices in the area of divorce and family law and has served as a co-chairman of the association’s Family Law Section.

He is also the immediate past president of the Fairfield County Bar Foundation, the association’s charitable arm.

Broder also acts as a special master in the family division of the Stamford and Bridgeport Superior Courts. He has lectured on numerous occasions to attorneys, accountants, financial analysts, mediators, therapists, paralegals and the general public on many aspects of family law, the release states.
